Review - Under His Skin by: Stacey O'Neale

Earth girls are never easy. But they're worth it.

Bakery owner Annabelle Sparks' business is booming ever since she won reality TV's Cupcake Wars. The one thing deflating her happy soufflé? The extremely sexy Kaden Chance only sees her as a best friend-and Annabelle wants so much more. After waiting a year for him recognize their chemistry, she's giving up and dating other people.

What she doesn't know is Kaden's heart doesn't actually beat. He's not human. Heck, he's not even from Earth. To retain his intergalactic immunity, no one can ever know he is an extraterrestrial. But when Annabelle starts dating, something strange happens to Kaden's unmoved heart: it begins to beat. Now he faces an impossible choice-tell Annabelle the truth and be deported-or lose his last chance at love.

Under His Skin is a super sexy romance with a fast-paced plot and I just loved it.  Entangled never lets me down, and this one is no exception!

There's so many elements thrown into this story that make it so loveable. Firstly, I love that our protagonist, Bells, is such a sweetheart. It's nice for once to see a girl so kind who actually gets everything she ever wanted. On top of that, she bakes! Score for the yumminess!

On the other side, we have always got to have our sexy hunks and Kaden is no exception to that. Not only is he one of the best friends you could have, he's also got the body and looks to drool over. Oh and not to forget, he's got two good-looking hunk brothers, too. With our main fella, I adore how committed he is to Bells. Gotta love a swoon-worthy sweetheart.

Overall I thought this book was a super cute story with a side of fantasy and siracha! Yes, siracha...because it's more than just spicy. The only reason I knocked it a star was because I thought a few parts seemed rushed, otherwise I would definitely suggest checking this one out!

Long Overdue

Hi lovelies,

This post is so far overdue that it is ridiculous, and for that I apologize. I also apologize for the bloggers, authors, and friends that I have neglected these past months. Student teaching apparently hit a lot harder on my book life than I thought it would. I intended to try to keep up with my blog during student teaching, and if I could not then to jump right back into it in January...but as we all see that unfortunately did not happen.

Lately, I just cannot seem to get into any book I read. I have started about four or five different ones and get about a quarter or half the way through and cannot finish. I'm not sure if it's the book or the fact that my schedule has continued to stay busy even after student teaching. I have been working much more and also doing much more fun outings than I have in the past...which takes up a good chunk of my time. And honestly, I'm not disappointed in my "new" life...I am actually quite happier than I have been in a long time.

Alas, I still love reading...I still always think about books and look at the updates from the book world, I just have not been an active participant lately. I am still trying and still reading though. Hopefully, I will fall back into this world hardcore like I was before with the reviews and teasers and tours and everything. We will just have to wait and see what the future brings.

Remember, keep smiling!

About Chanel

Originally a Florida girl, CHANEL CLEETON moved to London where she received a bachelor’s degree from Richmond, The American International University in London and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Chanel fell in love with London and planned to stay there forever, until fate intervened on a Caribbean cruise and a fighter pilot with smooth dance moves swept her off her feet. Now, a happily ever after later, Chanel is living her next adventure in Asia.

Law school made Chanel realize she’d rather spend her days writing sexy stories than in a courtroom, and she hasn’t looked back since. An avid reader and hopeless romantic, she’s happiest curled up with a book. She has a weakness for handbags, her three pups, and her fighter pilot husband.

She is the author of I SEE LONDON and LONDON FALLING, published by Harlequin HQN, FRENCH KISSED, and FLIRTING WITH SCANDAL, the first book in a new three-book series to be released by Penguin/Intermix in 2015.
