Blog Tour: Savor You

Savor You by: Emily Snow
Links: Goodreads | Amazon | BN

Synopsis: Kylie Wolfe and guitarist Wyatt McCrae have been bad for each other for the last several years, but it’s impossible for them to end their toxic push and pull. Not when their attraction is constantly fueled by lust and proximity—she’s her older brother’s Lucas’s assistant and Wyatt is his best friend and band mate.

So when Your Toxic Sequel makes a move to record a new album in Nashville, Kylie decides to make the latest break with Wyatt official by getting the hell out of town. She’ll spend a week in New Orleans. A week to immerse herself in the Mardi Gras scene. One week to not think about the last time she was in New Orleans, seven years ago with Wyatt. Seven days where she won’t have to see Wyatt every day just to fall ridiculously in love with him all over again—where, if she wants to, she can have a normal, no-strings attached fling that won’t end in heartbreak.

Too bad Wyatt ruins everything by showing up, as gorgeous and demanding and goddamn awful for her as ever.

Wyatt refuses to let Kylie give up on him. Not without reminding her why they both fell so far and hard in the first place. Not without making her savor the good memories and what could be their last chance with each other.

Emily Snow is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the erotic romance series Devoured, which includes Devoured, All Over You, and Consumed, as well as the new adult novel Tidal. She loves books, sexy bad boys, and really loud rock music, so naturally, she writes stories about all three.

This book has just given me the emotional blow up I desperately needed from a book. There are so many ups and downs in this story that make your heart go all over the place. It's the type of book where you keep rooting for a happy ending, but never quite sure you'll get it. Savor You is dark and emotional and sexy as heck.

I loved this story as soon as I read the synopsis about a sexy guitarist and a "toxic push and pull". I honestly live for stories that give me an emotional heart attack. Stories where the main characters get hurt over and over again. Do I love to see my MC's tortured? Of course not! I'm hoping for a happy ending just as much as the next reader, but it's books like this that make me feel something. Books like Savor You that makes your heart ache and make a happily ever after much more worth it.

With the characters, I felt for Kylie through every up and down. Every time she wanted to punch someone, I did. Every time she found some happiness, I wanted to jump up and down for her. Kylie has been through so much in her life already at only age twenty five, it's hard not to sympathize with her. That being said, I love how strong she was and how kick ass she definitely could be. On the other side of Kylie is sexy Wyatt McCrae. Wyatt I can only describe as a guitar-playing-sex-god-playboy with a whole lot of love in his heart he's afraid to show. Yep, that basically sums it up. I absolutely loved watching Kylie and Wyatt tear each other apart. I just constantly kept hoping for things to work out between even with all the emotional history. I wanted to kick Wyatt multiple times, but when this boy commits, he commits and it was sexy as heck.

Overall, I really liked this book from beginning to end. I literally finished it in less than half a day. If you want a toxic romance... this is it. If you love music like I do and love stories having to do with bands, give Savor You a try. Basically, if you like your heart being thrown all over the place... this book is also for you. I loved the writing, the story, the tattoos, the side characters, and everything that went along with it.

Blog Tour: Motocross Me

Motocross Me by: Cheyanne Young
Expected Release: June 26th 2013
Publisher: 336Love
Links: Goodreads | Amazon

Synopsis: When Hana Fisher moves to the small town of Mixon, Texas to live with her dad, she dreads having to work at the boring pile of dirt he fondly calls a motocross track. But when she gets there, she finds the rinky-dink dirt bike track from her childhood has grown into the most respected racing track in the state.

Now popular by association, Hana endures the pain and sweat of working in the summer heat in order to fit in with a sport she’s growing to love. She gets a real family, a best friend and not just one, but two of the fastest racers trying to win her heart.

When Hana abuses her status as the track owner’s daughter to help the gorgeous Ryan Russo cheat in the biggest race of the year, she risks more than just losing her job. Every good thing in her life is at stake now- her friends, her dad’s trust, and Ash Carter- the kind-hearted racer who may not be as alluring as Ryan, but is proof that nice guys don’t always finish last.

Cheyanne is a native Texan with a fear of cold weather and a coffee addiction that probably needs an
intervention. She loves books, sarcasm, Xbox and paid holidays. She lives near the beach with her daughter, one spoiled rotten puppy and a cat who is most likely plotting to take over the world.

There's those books where you just read the synopsis and know you're going to love it. Those books where you know you're going to get a fun and cute read. Plus I mean, who doesn't think motocross is hot? I just loved this book! Motocross Me is an exciting and quick fun read.

The book starts off with Hana running away from her mother's home because she's tired of her mom constantly getting married and not caring about her. She ends up at her dad's house hoping she can find a real family life. What she ends up finding is much more than she ever hoped for. I really liked Hana. I love that she wasn't afraid to stand up against her mom. Hana was that girl just trying to find her place in the world, and hey when you can to work at a motocross track, live with a family that loves you, and find romance too... how could you not love it? And, I loved watching Hana find where she belongs.

With the boys, lets start with hotter than thou Ryan Russo. Honestly, I didn't like him right from the beginning. I'm not sure how Cheyanne fell for him so hard right away. You could tell he oozed confidence and arrogance; that all he cared about was himself. On the other hand there's Ash Carter. First, Ash is a twin... which I am completely in love with twins. Ash is also sexy with his hot body and light dreads and blue eyes. The most important part, Ash is the sweetest guy in the world and I absolutely loved him.

Overall, I thought this book was fantastic. The writing was really well done. I loved all the characters. I loved the fact that Cheyanne Young included family life and best friends. I loved reading about all the motocross. If you're thinking of picking up Motocross Me, and want a quick, exciting read... definitely pick this one up!

Release Date: July 2013
ISBN: 978-1620610855
Imprint: Entangled Teen
Links: Goodreads | Amazon | BN | Book Depo

Synopsis: Cash is haunted by things. Hungry, hollow things. They only leave him alone when Heaven’s beautiful reaper, Anaya, is around. Cash has always been good with girls, but Anaya isn’t like the others. She’s dead. And with his deteriorating health, Cash might soon be as well.

Anaya never breaks the rules, but the night of the fire, she recognized part of Cash’s soul—and doomed him to something worse than death. Cash’s soul now resides in an expired body, making him a shadow walker, a rare, coveted being that can walk between worlds. A being creatures of the underworld would do anything to get their hands on.

The lines between life and death are blurring, and Anaya and Cash find themselves falling helplessly over the edge. Trapped in a world where the living don’t belong, can Cash make it out alive?

Tara Fuller writes novels. Some about grim reapers. Some about witches. All of course are delightfully full of
teen angst and kissing. Tara grew up in a one stop light town in Oklahoma where once upon a time she stayed up with a flash light reading RL Stine novels and only dreamed of becoming a writer. She has a slight obsession with music and a shameless addiction for zombie fiction, Mystery Science Theater, and black and white mochas. Tara no longer lives in a one stop light town. Now she lives with her family in a slightly larger town in North Carolina where they have at least three stoplights.

- A Tour of Cash's Closet -

“So, you want a tour of my closet? Kind of like Cribs? Yeah, we can do that. But you should know that my closet, along with my room in general, comes with an enter at your own risk disclaimer.”

Cash pulls his hands out of his pockets and motions for you to follow him to his closet. He flicks on a light inside and turns around.

“Welcome to my lair. Er...I mean my closet.” He winks. “Remember, this place is like Vegas. What happens in the closet stays in the closet.”

He runs his hand along a rack packed with t-shirts and plucks a few off.

“As you can see I’ve got jeans on the left and my t-shirt collection on the right. Here we go…here are a few of my favorites.”

Cash laughs and hangs the t-shirts back up before pulling down a box from the top shelf. He sits down in the floor and pops it open with a sigh.

“This…hell, I don’t really know what all this stuff is supposed to be. Shit I can’t seem to let go of I guess.”

Pulls out a bag full of trading cards. “This would be my lame ass Pokémon trading card collection. My Dad thought they were ridiculous. Said we would just take a trip somewhere instead of getting presents that year. Christmas reminded him of my mom too much I guess. Needless to say, my world was shattered. So when Em’s Mom took her to see Santa that year, she asked for nothing but these stupid Pokémon trading cards. After she got them, she climbed out of her window and into mine and gave them to me. Said she couldn’t be seen playing with boy stuff, lol. She was always better at presents than me.”

He puts the cards back in the box with a sad smile and pulls out a book with a purple and white cover. “Harold and the Purple Crayon. When I was four, this was my favorite book.  Mom used to read it to me before I’d go to sleep every night. I should have burned the damn thing years ago. I don’t know why I’ve kept it.”

He tosses it back into the box and shoves it away.

“Okay, enough of memory lane,” he said, pushing himself to his feet. “If you’ll direct you attention to the floor, you’ll get a glimpse of all five pairs of my shoes and box’s of old sketch books. Every sketch I’ve done since I was around ten is down there.”

He laughs. “And if you’ll do me the favor of not directing your attention to the top left shelf, you won’t have to see things Em would kick my ass for if she ever saw them.”

Shoves bottles further back and out of sight.

“What? It’s not like I drink them anymore.” He shrugs with a grin. “You never know when you’re going to need to celebrate.”

Cash ushers you out of the closet and shoves his hands in his pockets. “Alright, you’ve seen it all. And as much as I’d like to stick around while you snoop through the rest of my stuff, I have a date.  If you saw the badass blade my girl carries around you’d understand why I don’t want to be late. See ya!”

Cover Reveal + Giveaway: Alternate Connection

ALTERNATE CONNECTION is the third novel in the COUNTERMEASURE SERIES.
The next installment of the COUNTERMEASURE SERIES has a tentative release date set for November 5th, 2013. The story continues where TO RUSSIA WITH LOVE left off and pursues a parallel between Trevor and Cassandra Bauer’s quest and a daring attack on US nationals.

BLURB

CIA operative Nathan Nelson has built his life on secrets. Secrets about events that have shaped him into the man he has become. Events that taught him to keep his shields up. He has kept them buried in the past and nobody—not even Cassandra Bauer, the woman he claimed to love—knows of them. Now, those secrets have come barreling down on him at the worst of times.

Foreign Service Specialist Rachael Moore's personal crusade puts her in the crosshairs of very dangerous people. She would risk everything to achieve her goal even if it means exposing her battered heart and deeply concealed dreams to a man who doesn’t know the meaning of love.

Unbeknownst to both, their reconnection may not only bridge the chasm between the two of them, but shed light on a puzzling mystery. Their perilous journey becomes a race for their lives, leading them into a conspiracy rooted deeper than the tangled emotions between them.

Will their collaboration shatter the tenuous link woven in the past or forge a bond they never expected could exist in the future?

EXCERPT FROM CHAPTER 5

Nathan shook his head and pulled out the first folder containing the personal file of Gerald Blair, U.S. Envoy to the Middle East. The report was thorough and contained a detailed account of both his professional and personal life. He raised his eyes to Hanson. “Do you want to split’em?”
“Nope. I’m done with them. They are all yours.”
“When—?”
“While I waited for the fax. I’m a fast read, Nelson. Keep that in mind.” Hanson’s lips quirked in a cocky grin as he leaned his seat back and closed his eyes. His disheveled appearance and the hickeys decorating his neck a clear indication he needed some shut-eye. “Let me know when you’re done so we can discuss the details.”
Nathan sank in his own seat, his mind teeming with questions. Questions he didn’t think he would have answers to any time soon. He had a long analysis ahead of him considering he was also looking for pieces of a puzzle unknown to Hanson. Unlike Hanson’s, Nathan’s focus also encompassed the files belonging to the two agents and two drivers who’d been killed in the attack.
With that in mind, he returned his attention to the folder and began studying the first of the people they were supposed to know inside and out before they set off for ground zero. As he read through the pages, he looked for inconsistencies, hidden information, or activities that could have made Blair a target. Anything that could have put them all in the crosshairs of whoever had taken them.
The situation was more complex than the usual hostage kidnapping. While religious extremists were quick to claim responsibility, those who’d abducted the six remaining members of the diplomatic convoy two days earlier hadn’t made any demands through the media. They’d simply dropped off the radar as if they’d never been.
There had to be a reason for that divergence from the usual and that reason could very well be tied to Nathan’s prime directive. The answer could be in any of their past or present and, if he was to be successful, he had to find it.
He beat his way through Gerald Blair’s file and took notes as he moved through. Blair had been in extensive contact with Palestinians and Israelis—unavoidable contact since it was an integral part of his job to mediate peace in the region—and that in itself could have placed a target on his back.
Nathan set Blair’s file aside and moved on to the next in the bundle. As he flipped it open, his whole body stiffened in his seat. A buzzing noise flooded his ears, and his sight dimmed. His field of vision narrowed to the picture on the page and the name listed—Moore, Rachael. Status: Widow. Rae.
His blood iced in his veins. For a moment, he felt detached from reality expecting someone to pop up in the seat in front of him pointing a camera and screaming, “Gotcha!” He fixed his eyes on the file again. Phillip Moore’s wife. Was that why Hanson had made that comment about setting personal involvements aside? Nathan stared at her familiar image for a moment before diving in. Some of the information in it was known to him. Some was brand new. He read the declassified report on Phillip’s death with a heavy heart and the thumping in his chest rose to such a loud racket he thought it would wake Hanson from his beauty sleep.
The more he read about Rachael, the more his frown deepened. Why was she working at the embassy in Israel? How had she come to be assigned as a personal assistant to Blair?
Phillip had been crazy about her, and Nathan understood why as soon as he’d met her. At the time they met, she’d been working on a business associate degree with some difficulty due to the sudden transfer to the US. Neither had mentioned she dabbed in international politics back then. Had she made a career change after Phillip’s death? Guilt punched him in the gut and he held his breath, squeezing his eyes shut to keep self-flagellation at bay.
He’d gone through that cycle many times before. He wasn’t about to slide down that road again. If that was how he could redeem himself, he was going to take it.
