Hockey player Penny Jones can't imagine a life outside of Seldon. Though she has tons of scholarship offers, the last thing she wants is to leave. Who'll take care of her absent-minded gramps? Not her mother, who can’t even be bothered with the new tenants next door.

God! It is my favorite. I love everything about it! The colors, the font, the couple... AAAHHH. SO perfect.

Synopsis: Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

Book Blast: Fields of Elysium

Fields of Elysium by A.B. Whelan

How can love mend a heart full of hate?

Small town girl, Molly Bennett, moves to Los Angeles where she becomes an outsider while attending Beverly Hills High School. It seems life cannot be any more dreadful. Then one day after school, something magical happens. On a secluded hike in the Hollywood Hills, Molly chases her disobedient mutt and only friend into a hidden cavern. She stumbles upon a strange glimmering gateway that transports her to Arkana, a planet that is the cradle of an advanced human race. There, teenagers navigate amazing flying vehicles, compete in perilous games for glory, and possess supernatural powers. While Molly tries to wrap her mind around this unbelievable discovery, she meets the alluring and mysterious Victor Sorren. He is a Sentinel Apprentice, whose hatred toward people from Earth is beyond understanding. Yet every time Victor unpredictably saves Molly's life, his heart draws closer to hers, no matter how much he tries to fight against it. It further complicates things that their growing friendship is strictly forbidden. Earth people are prohibited in Arkana, yet Molly continues to cross through the portal to Arkana to see Victor. Torn between their double lives, they go down a dangerous path, from where there is no return and multiple endings.

Fields of Elysium is a suspenseful, romantic tale full of forbidden secrets, unimaginable danger, deception, and the never-ending fight for true love.

Blog Tour: Speaking of Love

___________

- The Book -

Synopsis: Speech teacher and successful matchmaker Mackenzie Simms decides to find a woman for her friend, handsome newspaper tycoon Rick Duffy. Though they’ve been each other’s go-to dates for the past month, Mac and Rick couldn't be more different: she is outspoken, sarcastic, and completely loathes his privileged lifestyle. He's laid-back, unassuming, and seems comfortable at an upper-class charity function. So why can't she stop thinking about him?

Rick knows he and the opinionated-though-adorable Mackenzie are better off as friends, so he agrees to the double-date getaway Mac plans at his family cabin. But seeing Mac cuddle up with her “friendly” date rankles Rick beyond reason, and Mac regrets her matchmaking scheme the minute she sees the way her beauty-queen cousin looks at Rick. Can Mac 'fess up to what's really in her heart, when speaking her mind puts everything at risk?

Speaking of Love is one of those stories that.you immediately love and show you that sometimes what you're looking for is right in front of you. Plus how can you not love a completely endearing romance with a happily ever after?

I love how there's much more than just sex for Rick and Mac. They each are fighting for something other than each other. Both of them have issues that they are working through. But, overall they both just need each other. Once we got to "weekend getaway", I  just loved how the romance hit Rick and Mackenzie like a freight train. They're so comfortable with each other and they have perfect banner with one another. Plus, with the characters I love how Ophelia  created "competition" but it was the type of competition that you could see from the beginning stood no chance, and I loved that, that there was no confusion in the love. Plus, Rick is pretty sexy.

Overall, Entangled put out another Bliss beauty. Speaking Of Love is one of those stories where you will be rooting for the characters until the end. It's a story where there isn't much darkness, where it doesn't revolve around sex, but is your chick-flick love story where there are two people who are just meant to be together. Loved it!

Wait For You by: J. Lynn

Thoughts: Jennifer has this uncanny ability to do a many things with her stories. One: being able to write brilliantly funny and amazing characters. Next, letting me fall in love with each and every chapter she writes. Create the most perfect and sexy boys on the planet (seriously!). And finally, keep me completely engrossed in the story from beginning to end. It's pure perfection. With Wait For You, she gives you all of that and then some. I cannot even begin to explain how much I adored this perfectly crafted contemporary.

It blows my mind how J. Lynn can always easily mix the dark with the amazing. Nothing is ever perfect for her characters... well unless it's their ego (cough Cam cough). But, that's one of the many reason I always fall in love with them because they are flawed. They do have imperfect pasts. Our main character, Avery has left her home and gone to school across the country to escape her past. She wants to leave it all behind and instead what she find is amazing friends and a beyond perfect man. I loved Avery right from the start. I love how she isn't afraid to be on her own and independent, how she actually cares about school, yet at the same time she's still withdrawn into herself because of what has happened to her before. She's one of those characters that you adore following because you root for their happy ending.

Then there's tall and sexy, I-love-myself Cameron Hamilton. Let me plow into you any day, honey. Cam seriously has everything going for him. He has beautiful bright blue eyes, dark wavy hair, tallness, perfect body, charming, witty, outgoing, likes to look at stars, protectiveness, and his willingness to do anything for Avery. It's pretty impossible not to fall in love with him. I absolutely loved his persistence  The way he stood by Avery's side every time she needed him. How he has the most perfect, loving family. Plus he has a pet tortoise .. I mean come on! Now, a lot of people have said they loved him more than JLA's Aiden from The Covenant Series. For me that is like comparing two of your kids. Aiden was one of my first loves and is one of my favorite book boyfriends. That being said,  does Cam stand up to Aiden's amazing perfection... heck yes he does. I don't love him more though... just equally.

Other than those two, there are a whole slew of amazing characters to love. Jacob, her best friend, is absolutely knee-slapping hilarious. He has the best lines that literally had me laughing out loud. It's impossible to not want a best friend like him. There's also Brittany, Jase, and Ollie (who is mine by the way, I claimed him!). All who are equally awesome. Overall I just loved everything about this book. It felt like a real relationship with real ups and downs. A book with real college life, real family issues, and a scary reality of a dark past. Plus, you know we're all going to be buying turtles now. New turtle trend coming right up, you just watch! If you've been waiting for this book... be ready to buy it as soon as it releases because you will NOT be disappointed.

Blog Tour: Farsighted

_____________
- The Books -
Synopsis: Alex Kosmitoras's life has never been easy. The only other student who will talk to him is the school bully, his parents are dead broke and insanely overprotective, and... oh yeah, he's blind.

Just when he thinks he'll never have a shot at a normal life, an enticing new girl comes to their small Midwest town all the way from India. Simmi is smart, nice, and actually wants to be friends with Alex. Plus she smells like an Almond Joy bar. Sophomore year might not be so bad after all.

Alex is in store for another new arrival—an unexpected and often embarrassing ability to "see" the future. Try as he may, Alex is unable to ignore his visions, especially when they suggest Simmi is in mortal danger.

With the help of the mysterious psychic next door and friends who come bearing gifts of their own, Alex embarks on his journey to change the future.

Synopsis: Simmi Shergill's life is a mess. Her powers of psychic feeling are on the fritz, and Grandon Township's sudden population boom has brought quite a few unsavory characters to town. She also looks like an over-blown balloon in her size 14 pants, but not even starving herself seems to be helping.

At least she has Alex, the boyfriend who loves her so much he'd do anything for her. Last summer, he even risked his life to protect her from the mysterious boy everyone was convinced wanted to kill her.

Just one problem: she's not so sure she feels the same way. Is Alex really the man of her dreams? Why can't she stop fixating on her would-be killer, Dax? Part of her wants to run screaming in the other direction whenever Dax is around, while the other part longs to run into his embrace, no matter whom she'd hurt or what she'd risk.

Simmi's loyalty is on the line. Whom will she choose—the blind seer who loves her, or the charming telekinetic with "bad idea" written all over him? Emotions run high in the tension-packed book two of the Farsighted series.

Farsighted really wasn't what I expected and honestly I'm not sure what I was fully expecting though. What I got though was a story full of exciting moments, uniqueness and an awesome world built around psychics.

I had to grow to like our main character, Alex. At first I thought he just seemed so bitter and came on too strong. As the story went on though I begun to like his protectiveness of Simmi and how he used his unique ability. Plus, I think Alex is just such a unique MC that I couldn't help but my intrigued by him. Another character we meet is Shapri and I liked her as soon as we meet her, she's very outspoken and I can't wait to see more of her in future books. I have the same feeling about Dax... even though he's on Alex's hate list... I found myself wanting to know more about him and wanting to see more of him.

The story at times, I admit dragged a little and I found the book didn't exactly grasp my attention right from the beginning. That being said, the story definitely got better and and more exciting as the story went along and the writing overall was fantastic. The ending definitely leaves you wanting more. You're left happy about some things, questioning others, and then going 'No! That can't happen!'.Overall it's a good and unique story, with fantastic writing and I'm excited to see where the next book, Open Heart goes.

I always fall in love with Miranda's books. They're always so real, have such great morals in them, and just make you fall in love with all the characters. Plus, I absolutely loved the camp setting. With the outdoors and the constantly having fun, and I know we can all think back to summer time journeys where amazing things happened before the school year! Things I Can't Forget is an endearing book that you won't  help but fall in love with.

I admit, I had to grow to love Kate. Actually, I found myself paralleling with Parker on my feelings towards Kate. Speaking of, yes Parker is back and I absolutely loved her in this one! That also means Will Whitfield is also back and unf love that boy! The one thing that swayed me away from Kate is how focused she is in her beliefs and religion. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally all for believing in something and believing in it strongly, but Kate's are so, so strong and religious that it's alienating her from the world and people around her. Other than that, I loved watching her become a somewhat new person while still clinging to herself. I also loved her art aspect and how she immersed her feelings in her work because I tend to do the same thing and can so relate to that. Plus, watching her fall in love with the first boy she's every kissed aka Matt Brown was just icing on the cupcake.

Matt Brown... Oh you sexy, guitar playing, ranch eating, no shoe wearing adorable creature you. Matt is that guy that you say "he's one of a kind"... because he is. He's patient, outgoing, caring, and he definitely lucked out in the look department. He's one of those boys that everyone says "if he loves you he won't care" and that's exactly how Matt is. One of those perfect guys who completely accept the girl for who they are. Plus the ending with him just melted me into little pieces.

Overall, this is another fantastic and heart-felt contemporary from Miranda Kenneally. It is definitely different from her first two and not just in the religion aspect, but I enjoyed it just as equally. I cannot wait for Racing Savannah!!

Top Ten Places Sam Henry and Jordan Woods from CATCHING JORDAN have been caught Kissing

1. Waiting in the security line at the airport. TSA was not amused.

2. Study hall. When the teacher confronted them, Henry said, “But we’re studying!” The teacher replied, “What exactly are you studying?” And Henry said, “Anatomy.”

3. The “Kiss-Cam” at a Nashville Predators game. Henry and Jordan didn’t even notice, because they were kissing even before the cameras were trained on them.

4. On top of the Franklin city water tower. Yes, the police were called. But no charges were pressed, so all was okay. Don’t try this one at home!

5. The paint sample aisle at Home Depot. They were there to buy mulch for Jordan’s mom, so how they ended up in the paint sample aisle isn’t clear. You are free to try this one “at home.”

6. In the garage in the bed of her father’s truck. Her father subsequently dragged Henry out of the garage by the collar of his shirt.

7. At the automatic carwash following an afternoon of “mudding.” The carwash manager gave them a lecture stating, “This is a family establishment!”

8. Inside a tent in the camping section at Wal-Mart. They claimed they were “testing out the sleeping bags.”

9. In Jordan’s grandfather’s favorite La-Z-Boy recliner. Her grandfather subsequently dragged Henry out of the house by the collar of his shirt. Not because he kissed Jordan, but because he dared to sit in Gramps’ recliner.

10. At the movies. What’s sad is that they didn’t even make it into the theater. They started kissing out in the lobby and missed nearly all of Pitch Perfect.

But one day when driving home after picking up her little sister from the baby-sitter's, she nearly hits a boy who, after running blindly into the street, mysteriously disappears.

The mystery only deepens as she figures out who the boy is; William Rose, a reclusive, awkward boy from school who always has his nose in a pile of books.

As she becomes more aware of his behavior it becomes more obvious how out of the ordinary William is and how hard he deliberately tries to blend into the background. This only intrigues her more and she finds herself working to find out more about him, and exactly where he keeps disappearing to.

On a whim one night she follows him and suddenly finds herself in a new world. One where William is a prince, literally, and she is treated like a princess. She also discovers that she is stuck; the gate back to her own world isn't always open.,br>
Quinn finds herself smack in the middle of a modern-day fairy tale, on a course that will change her life forever.

I ended up enjoying this book so much more than I thought! It always excites me when you can find yourself lost in another world. For our main character Quinn curiosity may just be one of the best things to happen to her. She discovers a beautiful new world and a whole new adventure that I just absolutely loved following. Plus, I totally want a seeker bird of my own!

With Seeds Of Discovery, there are characters you instantly fall in love with like Thomas and the on the other side characters you grow to love like William. And, I ended up absolutely loving both boys and hoping to see way more of them in future books. I must admit, as much as charmer as Thomas is... I'm totes shipping William and Quinn right now. I love how William works so hard. How he's quiet and smart, yet when he's comfortable he's kind and playful. Plus, obviously these royal boys hit the lottery looks jackpot!

This was definitely one of those quick reads that I instantly found myself getting sucked in from beginning to end. It's adventure and fantasy all wrapped up into one and absolutely loved the world. Definitely loving book one and can't wait to dig into Roots Of Insight to get more of my Quinn, Thomas, and William fix!
