From Here To Eternity by: Paige Cuccaro

Synopsis: Love never dies…but apparently Rachel has.

Waking up one day to her obituary in the news and no recollection of the past few weeks, Rachel calls her husband, Nate, in a panic, at the research facility where he works. Nate is the inventor of CYANAs, Cybernetic Anthropoid Automatons, vessels that look exactly like humans and can store a person’s memories…and maybe even his or her soul.

When Nate arrives home, Rachel doesn’t recognize the man who claims to be her husband. Can Nate convince Rachel to fall in love with him all over again? Especially once she realizes what he’s done…and what it means for their future?

Thoughts: From Here To Eternity was a very quick novella with a really interesting concept. I actually would have loved if Paige dove more into this topic and made this novella into a book because the idea of saving memories is so awesome. I loved this fast-paced and exciting sci-fi!

Nate's nerd personality and how much he loves Rachel just totally pulled me in. For some reason boys are smart and into technology, not going to lie, is a turn on for me. Plus, everything Nate does he does for Rachel. Screw his job and screw his duty, his love is more important. I also liked how Paige threw in the part about Rachel and her feeling towards these CYANAs and how eventually her mind changed. I mean, how would you feel knowing you died and your memories we're implanted into a "fake" body?

Paige even threw in a twist I wasn't expecting in the short novella and I commend her for that. It was a twist I wasn't expecting and I definitely loved it. Overall, From Here To Eternity is a quick and enjoyable read. I happen to be one of those girls who loves Sci-Fi reads, but hey this is a quick thrilling story with a happily ever after... what's not to love?
