You Me At Six - Fireworks
Remember when, you were my boat
and I was your sea
together we'd float, so delicately
Cuz I don't know, who I am when you're
running circles in my head
And I don't know, just who you are
When you're sleeping in someone else's bed

Synopsis: The heart-stopping fourth novel in New York Times bestselling author Lili St. Crow's Strange Angels series.
Now that sixteen-year-old Dru's worst fears have come true and Sergej has kidnapped her best friend Graves, she'll have to go on a suicidal rescue mission to bring him back in one piece.
That is, if she can put all of Christophe's training to good use, defeat her mother's traitor, Anna, once and for all, and manage to survive another day . .
Thoughts: These books just keep getting better and more kick-ass as they go along!
Defiance starts off right where Jealousy left off, Dru is now the head of the council and working her butt off training so that she can rescue her best friend ever, Graves. Dru seems to be getting used to things at the Schola Prima and there even seems to be no attacks. While trying her best to train, learn about being a svetocha, taking care of her new pal Ash, and fighting with her feelings for Christophe, Dru still can't seem to trust everyone. When things take a turn for the worst, Dru will risk everything to save the one person she knows she cares about.
I love the fighting and action in this book. I thought in Jealousy it was awesome, but in Defiance it was even better. I adored the training scene between Christophe and Dru... mmm yes! A lot of characters seem to turn around in this installment as well and it was really intriguing to watch. Speaking of characters... man I still LOVE bobby shanks! I hope he has an even bigger role in Reckoning.
Boy wise Christophe v. Graves... they each seemed to get half the book. Perfectly split to please each side. I'm still rooting for Christophe all the way and Dru owes him a big apology! And he best get it! Blue eyed sexy protective boy you. But hey, if Dru doesn't want you Christophe I will take you... my number is.... just kidding. ;)
Dru has finally matured and grown in Defiance, her only issue is she still has no trust for anyone. She doesn't really depend on anyone but herself and that seems to be her downfall. And I'm really HOPING we find out her full name in Reckoning!!!
If you couldn't tell, I cannot wait for Reckoning. I'm dying to see how Dru ends up. Which boy, if any, she will chose. Just chose Shanks and end the battle. HAH kidding. I'm Team Christophe. I can't wait to find out her name (hoping!). Also, how sergej and anna will end up... and of course how Dru will be now that she's bloomed. Bring on the Reckoning! :)

Synopsis: It's a good thing Dru Anderson is fast. Because the sucker chasing her isn't slowing down—and he won't rest until he has tasted her blood and silenced her heart . . .
Dru's best friend, Graves, and her strange and handsome savior, Christophe, are ready to help her take on the ultimate evil. But will their battle for Dru's heart get in the way of her survival?
Thoughts: The best in the series so far, BY FAR. I loved every part of this installment. It was face-paced, action-packed, romanced up, fierce, and kick-ass.
We start off where we left off in Betrayals. Dru is at the Schola Prima, with her pals Shanks and Dibs and her maybe more than a friend Graves. Things are very different at this new school then they were at the reform school, but there is still a traitor and still someone out to get her. With her new classes and new bodyguards, Dru is trying to come to grips with being a Svetocha. Also, not to mention she's trying to figure out who's trying to kill her, how to help Ash, and if she has feelings for Graves or Christophe...maybe both.
Things definitely heat up in this installment. So many more secrets are spilled, Dru matures and learns, and finally, finally the romance picks up. I still love Ash's role and really hope more becomes of him in the next two installments. I also think the story line in the third book moves so much smoother than the first two. I'm not sure why, I just enjoyed reading Jealousy much more than the others so far. The action flowed perfectly in this one, not too much and too little. We actually got to see some classes and fights and how Dru enjoyed them. And finally, we got to see some romance. Between both boys. I think Graves just seems so hot and cold to me though.
That being said, I'm a Christophe girl. Yes, at first I was like wait you liked her mom too... that's messed the eff up. But, as I read it seemed as if it went one way. It seems as if her mother was never in love with him and it seemed, at least to me, that Christophe was in lust with her... where as he seems in love and vulnerable with Dru. Whatever though, I'm team Christophe all the way. Lightning blue eyes, strong and protective, and I mean HEELLLLOOO *spoiler* he took bullets for her and put himself in pain for her! So yes, I love you Christophe, call me any time. ;)
Anywho, I loved Jealousy and I can't wait to start the next one. PS. Still wondering what Dru's name is short for. Hmmm. :)

The Winner Is...
Congratulations! I have e-mailed you and you have 2 days to respond, if you do not respond by Monday, I will chose a new winner!
Thank you so much to everyone to entered!
Synopsis: She’s no angel . . .
Poor Dru Anderson. Her parents are long gone, her best friend is a werewolf, and she’s just learned that the blood flowing through her veins isn’t entirely human. (So what else is new?)
Now Dru is stuck at a secret New England School for other teens like her, and there’s a big problem— she’s the only girl in the place. A school full of cute boys wouldn’t be so bad, but Dru’s killer instinct says that one of them wants her dead. And with all eyes on her, discovering a traitor within the Order could mean a lot more than social suicide. . .
Can Dru survive long enough to find out who has betrayed her trust—and maybe even her heart?
Thoughts: The quick paced danger doesn't stop in this sequel to Strange Angels. Dru is still a kick-ass chick and fighting for her life.
We start off right where we left off in Strange Angels. Dru has been taking to a Schola in hopes of being kept safe, but she has a new mission which is to help Christophe figure out who is Betraying the Order. The school is refusing to teach or train her, and she feels as if everyone, but Graves, could be lying to her. In a school filled with Wulfen and Djamphir, the danger has only just begun for Dru.
In this second installment, Dru is in constant shuggle with a few things. She's unsure who to trust, she hates seeing the Wulfen treated like low-class, she's starting to feel the effects of being svetocha, and she's starting to feel her heart being pulled in two directions. Dru is constantly faced with danger and it never let's up in Betrayals.
The boys are back in full as well. With new additions :)! Christophe is still the blue-eyed savior and protector, while Graves is still Dru's safe spot and her best friend. Also she's gets a gang of Wulfen, whom I love! I really liked shanks and dibs. I thought their characters were fabulous additions to the series! I also really like Ash, can't wait to read more about him.
I'm so happy the romance is finally starting to pick up. Not that the book needs it, believe me the action will keep your eyes glued to the page. But, I'm a girl that likes some smut and finally in Betrayals, Dru is starting to struggle with her heart and her two boys.
Overall good book, and now I'll be moving onto Jealously!

Synopsis: Dru Anderson has what her grandmother called “the touch.” (Comes in handy when you’re traveling from town to town with your dad, hunting ghosts, suckers, wulfen, and the occasional zombie.)
Then her dad turns up dead—but still walking—and Dru knows she’s next. Even worse, she’s got two guys hungry for her affections, and they’re not about to let the fiercely independent Dru go it alone. Will Dru discover just how special she really is before coming face-to-fang with whatever—or whoever— is hunting her?
Thoughts: A thrilling story. A whirl-wind of emotions. And one tough chick.
Dru Anderson has grown up tough. With her mom dying when she was five, she has traveled with her dad hunting things that shouldn't be real. Dru has what her grandmother calls "the touch" and Dru seems to be able to sense things that are happening. After something goes horrible wrong with her dad, Dru befriends Graves and Christophe in hopes finding out more about herself and well, keeping herself and her friends alive.
This story was anything but rainbows and butterflies. It was raw, tough, and thrilling. There's constant action, always something lurking around the corner. Dru is so tough, she knows how to fight and shoot a gun, yet at the same time she's not afraid to cry.
Along with Dru we have her only friend Graves, who she tried to constantly push away, and yet he stuck by her. He's a sweetheart, with bright green eyes that glow against half-asian skin. And we all know I have a weakness for green eyes :). Along with Graves we have another snack named Christophe, who is strong, cocky, and sexy, with bright sky blue eyes. I love the focus on the eyes, it's one of my favorite features.
I loved the story and the character and am excited to find out more about Dru and her friends in Betrayals.

But just as life is returning to normal, Laurel discovers that a hidden enemy lies in wait. Once again, Laurel must turn to Tamani to protect and guide her, for the danger that now threatens Avalon is one that no faerie thought would ever be possible. And for the first time, Laurel cannot be sure that her side will prevail.
Thoughts: I absolutely adored Wings and Spells. Illusions was no different. It was a fast-paced journey I couldn't put down and I loved it. I have to say, Illusions, had a slightly different feel than the first two. For me at least!
Illusions picks up with Laurel beginning her senior year with David, whom she thought she finally made her love choice. But, dun dun dun out of the blue, Tamani returns in all his hot, sexy glory and informs Laurel that something has been going on and she needs protecting once again. With trolls disappearing, Klea returning with a mysterious young girl named Yuki, Laurel having love issues, and trying to deciding where she'll end up in life... Illusions is surely a story you don't want to miss!
Let me start by saying, I'm still Team Tamani! In the first book, I loved them both. In the second, I started to move towards Tam, and well! I'm still Team Tamani all the way!! David is a sweet heart I do like him, I just like Laurel with Tamani more. Plus, I have a feeling Chelsea and David may end up together!
With Illusions, its not so much faerie as it is development. We see huge struggles in Laurel... She's fighting her emotions constantly on which boy she should chose and if she should return to Avalon or stay on earth. This was such a tough book for Laurel, and man when Tamani was with Yuki, I found myself getting jealous, I wanted to slap the smile off her face too! I also really hope we see more Avalon in book four, I missed it!
There so many great quotes in this story. And I totally relate when Laurels mom tells her "There are many different kinds of love." Just because someone has been there for you, doesn't mean you're in love with them and I can so relate, man can I. It's these types of books I love, when I relate to the situations. They make you stop and think "waaaiiit a second". Just because it's a fictional book doesn't mean it can't help you in real life.
Overall, fantastic book in the series and I am DYING for book four! Oh heck how Illusions ended!!! Like What?!! I need book four like two days ago! And final words... Team Tamani!! :)

I also got to hang out and meet some awesome fellow bloggers! JL from An Avid Reader’s Musings, Damaris, Wanda, and Emma from Good Choice Reading, and Rachel from Book Shelf Lust. They're all AWESOME so if you haven't stalked their sites, tweeted at them, or anything... you should def consider it!
All three of these authors answered so many questions. One of my favorites was something along the lines of "If Chairman Meow and Church were in a closet 'getting it on' and Alec walked in what would happen?" *mad bursts of laughter* I forget which one, but Cassie informed us one of them is fixed. Hah! Cassie also mentioned one of the hardest scenes for her to write was at the end of Clockwork Prince, and man I hope that scene is Jem because well... TEAM WILL ALL THE WAY!
During the signing, Cassie recognized me from Twitter which I thought was pretty dang cool! Said, I looked like my picture.. I think that's a good thing! I was happy :) hah. It could have also been because I've met her three times. Either way, I was stoked and I always have a great time at her signings! :)
Also, Lauren DeStefano is SO nice, like incredibly super nice! I adored Wither (if you have not read it GO READ IT! I will be giving away a copy as well!) I cannot wait for the sequel, which revealed today is called FEVER. Isn't that just awesomely perfect?! At the signing she also gave away a sample/preview to book 2 and I will be giving away one of those as well! I just have to mention I am IN LOVE with the cover of Wither and cannot wait to see how beautiful the cover of FEVER will be.
And as always Holly Black was incredibly funny and apparently one of her favorite scenes she's written is a speech in Black Heart, so can't wait to read that! Speaking of Black Heart, at the signing she gave away a sample/preview for BLACK HEART, and let me tell you... OH MAN I CANNOT WAIT. I needs that book like yesterday! So if you haven't read White Cat or Red Glove, well get up and go buy them!!
Review of Wither
Review of Red Glove
So now, I'm going to post of bunch of pictures from my NY adventure! Enjoy :)
Lauren, Cassie, and Holly!
