Shade by: Jeri Ready-Smith

Synopsis: Love ties them together. Death can't tear them apart.

Best. Birthday. Ever. At least, it was supposed to be. With Logan's band playing a critical gig and Aura's plans for an intimate after-party, Aura knows it will be the most memorable night of her boyfriend's life. She never thought it would be his last.
Logan's sudden death leaves Aura devastated. He's gone.

Well, sort of.

Like everyone born after the Shift, Aura can see and hear ghosts. This mysterious ability has always been annoying, and Aura had wanted nothing more than to figure out why the Shift happened so she can undo it. But not with Logan's violet-hued spirit still hanging around. Because dead Logan is almost as real as ever. Almost.

It doesn't help that Aura's new friend Zachary is so understanding—and so very alive. His support means more to Aura than she cares to admit.

As Aura's relationships with the dead and the living grow ever complicated, so do her feelings for Logan and Zachary. Each holds a piece of Aura's heart...and clues to the secret of the Shift.

Thoughts: Wow. Just wow! Shade is a whirlwind of emotions in one book. Love. Is all I can say.

Shade starts off with Aura, who since the shift can see ghosts. Aura is special though, she was first. That doesn't stop her life though, or her love for her amazing, sexy, singer boyfriend Logan. So when Logan tragically dies she's thinks it's all over, until she realizes that Logan is still with her in ghost form. As more mysteries unravel, she becomes close to Zachary, a green eyed, Scottish cutie. Together they begin to figure out what the Shift is all about. What do you do when you're in love with your ghost boyfriend, but someone else is willing to be there for you?

I loved this book. The story was fantastic. And I really, really want to know more about the Shift and Aura's mother. Another aspect I loved about this book was the music. I adore music. It's one of my favorite things in the world. There always seems to be a lyric for every situation and every emotion. The fact that Logan sang, and played guitar killed me. I wanted to jump right on him haha! And Zachary's song was I Will Posses Your Heart? Hellloooo amazing.

I loved every character in this book. Well with the exception of Brian, Becca, and Nadine. I loved the Keeley brothers and Megan! Aura was something else. I really ached with her. I know what it's like to love someone and also have someone in the background saying 'hey! I'm here for you. I'll catch you when you fall.' It's the worst decision in the world. One to this day, I haven't made. And honestly my heart aches for Aura for having to chose between two amazing guys.

As of right now... I adore both boys. Zachary is such a sweety and he has green eyes, which is a killer for me. Green eyes are my favorite! He's so willing to do anything for Aura and be there for her when she needs him. But, I am a tiny bit more a Logan girl!!

This book is so much more than romance. It dives into drugs, parties, music, school, how cruel people can really be, and how much people will do for love. I'm really rooting that somehow Logan and Aura end up together. I just don't see how it will happen though. Here's hoping! :) If not, Zachary is still a keeper and I adore him too!

This book was amazing! Definitely worth a buy!! I cannot wait for the sequel I neeeeeeed more!!!

Most importantly... Always fight for what you want and don't give up. Believe in music. Believe in yourself. Believe in love. Always.

Desires Of The Dead by: Kimberly Derting

Synopsis: The missing dead call to Violet. They want to be found.

Violet can sense the echoes of those who've been murdered—and the matching imprint that clings to their killers. Only those closest to her know what she is capable of, but when she discovers the body of a young boy she also draws the attention of the FBI, threatening her entire way of life.

As Violet works to keep her morbid ability a secret, she unwittingly becomes the object of a dangerous obsession. Normally she'd turn to her best friend, Jay, except now that they are officially a couple, the rules of their relationship seem to have changed. And with Jay spending more and more time with his new friend Mike, Violet is left with too much time on her hands as she wonders where things went wrong. But when she fills the void by digging into Mike's tragic family history, she stumbles upon a dark truth that could put everyone in danger.

Thoughts: Desires of the Dead was just as good as The Body Finder! It was everything I had hoped it would be and more!

Desires Of The Dead picks up 3 months after the first book. Jay and Violet are continuing with their relation and all their friends are still along for the ride. A brother and sister pair of new students arrive at their school which seems to be the start of new problems for Violet. Including the FBI seeming to having an interest in her.

I loved this book just as much as the first! Jay and Violets relationship definitely goes through ups and downs and 100% heats up! And I was so happy with their journey in this book! I loved it! And I LOVE Jay <333. Chelsea is hilarious I love her. Also a new character I cannot wait to read more about is Rafe!!! I have a feeling he will be causing some trouble in the future Mr. Emo eye candy woo woo! :)

Another thing I love about these books is how Derting let's us into the twisted minds of others. Just love the details, the torture, and the feelings in them! I got to admit, the animals parts most certainly make me sad.

Overall I really adored this book! I cannot wait for book three!! This series is so worth the read! :)

The Body Finder by: Kimberly Derting

Syopsis: Violet Ambrose is grappling with two major issues: Jay Heaton and her morbid secret ability. While the sixteen-year-old is confused by her new feelings for her best friend since childhood, she is more disturbed by her "power" to sense dead bodies—or at least those that have been murdered. Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes the dead leave behind in the world . . . and the imprints that attach to their killers.

Violet has never considered her strange talent to be a gift; it mostly just led her to find dead birds her cat left for her. But now that a serial killer is terrorizing her small town, and the echoes of the local girls he's claimed haunt her daily, Violet realizes she might be the only person who can stop him.

Despite his fierce protectiveness over her, Jay reluctantly agrees to help Violet find the murderer—and Violet is unnerved by her hope that Jay's intentions are much more than friendly. But even as she's falling intensely in love, Violet is getting closer and closer to discovering a killer . . . and becoming his prey herself.

Thoughts: Absolutely loved every part of this book! I started it today around lunch and just finished it! I could not put it down! The story was so unique, I loved it.

I loved how the author put the killers thoughts in here and there! It was so intriguing and so perfectly written from the minds of a killer. I was in awe of the goose bump feeling the words of the murders gave off.

This book had everything I could have asked for! Fun, parties, suspense, romance, a sexy guy, funny best friends, a biotch you want to hate, and an amazing family. The detail in this book was amazing as well! I adore when books have amazing detail.

I loved Violets character! The fact she loved to run with her ipod... Yes perfect! And Jay! Whoooo Jay baby. You became a new love of mine :)! Haha

Defiantly worth reading!!! And now... On to the next one!

Outside In by: Maria V. Synder

Synopsis: Me? A Leader? Okay, I did prove that there's more to Inside than we knew. That a whole world exists beyond this cube we live in. And finding that led to a major rebellion - between worker scrubs like me and the snobby uppers who rule our world. Make that ruled. Because of me, we're free. I thought that meant I was off the hook, and could go off on my own again - while still touching base with Riley, of course. He's the one upper I think I can trust. But then we learned that there's outside and then there is Outside. And something from Outside wants In.

Thoughts: An intense, fast-paced stunner! Literally. I absolutely adored the first book Inside Out and the second did not disappoint me at all! The second picks up right where we left off from Inside Out. The uppers and lowers still struggling to get along and Trella seems to be in the middle
Of the tangle yet again. When a new issue presents itself will Trella step up again and save the day?

I adored this book! I love love love dysotopian/scifi ish books like this and it was awesome! Trella is one strong, small chick and I love her for it! I found myself really liking Lamont in this one! Surprising huh? Yeah. Anywho.. A new character I really liked was Bubba Boom. He played a vital role in Outside In and I really liked him. And of course there's the oldies - Logan is awesome :) and Riley. Oh Riley <3 I love you. How can you not?!

Overall I loved the second in this series! It was fabulous and I really hope there's a third :)

PS. two words: SHOWER SCENE <3 ;)

A Touch Mortal by: Leah Clifford

Syopsis: Eden didn't expect Az.

Not his saunter down the beach toward her. Not his unbelievable pick-up line. Not the instant, undeniable connection. And not his wings.

So long, happily-ever-after.

Now trapped between life and death, cursed to spread chaos with her every touch, Eden could be the key in the eternal struggle between heaven and hell. All because she gave her heart to one of the Fallen, an angel cast out of heaven.

She may lose everything she ever had. She may be betrayed by those she loves most. But Eden will not be a pawn in anyone else's game. Her heart is her own.

And that's only the beginning of the end.

Thoughts: Action packed, hot boy alert, total awesome book! Not going to lie, in the beginning I wasn't sure if I was going to like it because the beginning seemed a bit rushed to me. I was so wrong. I LOVED this book. It's unlike anything out there.

Eden literally has the fairy tale "he just walked into my life" and we fell in love. But wait! Az is an angel and well of course he has an enemy. The only way to save Eden is to hide her, make her a "Sider", but Eden can't remember how she died. Soon realizing how powerful she actually is and that the ones she thought loved her may have betrayed her, Eden finds herself in a whole new world of trouble.

Okay. Let me first start out by saying way to go Leah! This book is unlike anything else I have read. It's a whole new world and loved all of it! So unique! Also, I love how she's not afraid to curse! Most books say something like "she cursed to herself", but nope in ATM you get something like this "What the fuck is wrong with you? I thought you loved me!" Yep, bravo! I love it, it's real.

Okay moving on. Characters! So personally almost every boy mentioned is hot. The descriptions at least scream hot to me. Adam - jeans and a band shirt? Oww owww! Adam was probably one of my FAVORITE characters in the book. He's sweet, protective, obviously likes music... Loved him! Eden, was something else. Very strong, I admired that she wasn't afraid to go after what she wanted and no one tells her what to do. Libby... I didn't like her from the start. Luke... Is Luke supposed to come off as hot? I thought so. Haha! I adored JAMES and Jarrod, just to throw that out there. I even liked Kristen. Gabe... I really liked him. Plus he had blonde hair and hazel eyes (phew!), Can't wait to see what happens with him in the next book. Az... Aw Az. He's a lover. And a sexy one at that. He never gives up and I admire that in him.

Overall, obviously, I thought this book was out of this world! I cannot wait to see what happens in the sequel! There is so much left that needs answers! Definitely pick this one up! You won't want to miss it! :)

A Touch Mortal && Katy Perry's ET ?

So I don't know if it's because I just finished A Touch Mortal By: Leah Clifford or if it's because I'm just obsessed with this song. But ET by Katy Perry & Kanye remind me of ATM:

"You're so hypnotizing
Could you be the devil
Could you be an angel."

-- Az, Gabe, Luke

"Your touch magnetizing
Feels like I am floating
Leaves my body glowing."

-- "a glow marking where her fingertips made contact" - ATM (Eden)

"Your from a whole other world
A different dimension
You open my eyes
And I'm ready to go
Lead me into the light."

-- Eden & Az.

"Kiss me, ki-ki-kiss me
Infect me with your love and
Fill me with your poison"

-- yep reminds me again of Eden and Touch.

Anyone else agree? I posted the song below so y'all can jam. Okay, i'll stop rambling and go back to listening to it on repeat ;). Ta ta for now!

It won't let me post the video for some reason, so here's the link! Click Click
