Mockingjay by: Suzanne Collins

Synopsis: Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she’s made it out of the bloody arena alive, she’s still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. Who do they think should pay for the unrest? Katniss. And what’s worse, President Snow has made it clear that no one else is safe either. Not Katniss’s family, not her friends, not the people of District 12. Powerful and haunting, this thrilling final installment of Suzanne Collins’s groundbreaking Hunger Games trilogy promises to be one of the most talked about books of the year.

Thoughts: This week, I work a total of around 48hrs. Full time job and I refused go to bed last night until I was finished with Mockingjay. I couldn't help myself and I could not stop reading. Suzanne Collins has done it again, and I can happily say I am very happy with the way the final installment turned out.

This book has everything from destruction to fear and love to hate. There were some situations where I knew what was coming and others where I had no idea and was just "omg did that happen?". There are new characters in this installment, ones you will love and ones you will hate. And of course, all the character we know and love are somehow in book three.

I was very, very pleased with how Mockingjay ended. Throughout the book, I'm not going to lie, I thought I was going to be disappionted... but I wasn't. Mockingjay is dark, and twisted and will pull at all your emotions. I was happy, I was disappionted, I was cheering them on, and sometimes I wanted to strangle someone.

Such a great story, such a great series. I think humanity needs to learn from Mockingjay, and see what we could become. What could possibly happen with-in time. I'm so very happy with Mockingjay and it's thoughts are still lingering with me and I know they will continue too. 10 stars <3 Two of my favorite non-spoilery quotes: "Closing my eyes doesn't help. Fire burns brighter in the darkness."

"It takes ten times as long to put yourself back together as it does to fall apart."
